Very solid which I was needing in my kitchen. Finish is not smooth but don't think it will be an issue. Like the light color. It went together ok except for last set of legs , had to drill better bolt holes. Overall really like the chunky ,solid table.

Very pleased with my new table! It's the perfect size for my small breakfast nook area at 48 in it works well! The top is not smooth, it has little ridges in it, this doesn't bother me but I do notice food can get stuck down there (toddler life) so just be sure to clean well. Assembly was straightforward, I put it together myself in an hour… on the sides you can really only get one chair so the 48in table really is meant to be a 4 person table but benches could be a good solution - we have a bench on one side of our nook. Good quality - good buy! Would buy again for sure
