TDCHINGES 3.5" Self-Closing Door Hinges Black 3.5 Inch Spring Door Hinge 3 Pack

These hinges are fairly heavy, and the metal is about twice as thick as the hinges I removed. It is also very glossy and looks great and screams "quality". As a replacement for hinges on some of my pre-hung doors, some chiseling work was needed due to the thickness of the new hinges. Use sharp chisels and it isn't too difficult. Also, it seems that the day of clear instructions are coming to an end. There were some, so that is better than most nowadays. But I don't know why there is both an allen's wrench and a rod supplied, each of which accomplishes the same thing. Once the spring-setting is achieved (very easy), a pin is stick into a hole to hold that setting; The pin sticks out in the final assembly, which doesn't look right to me. There is no mention of this protrusion in the directions.

These were heavy duty and good quality. This is a good set for the price.
