It serves its purpose but came with blue stains on the underside of the lid. I believe it may be the glue that was used to secure the materials.

If I could rate this below one star, I would.

So, whoever designed this toilet seat needs to be fired. The "hardware" that holds it onto the toilet is cheap, soft plastic, designed so that you literally cannot tighten it OR loosen it to remove it once it's in place. It's ridiculous. There is one wing on the bottom nut to keep it from spinning, but there is also a square neck on the top of the screw that fits into a recessed area on the seat itself to prevent IT from turning. So, once you get it just to the point where you ought to be able to tighten it down to keep the seat in place, it won't budge in either direction - and putting any force into trying to turn the screw whatsoever, completely mangles the screw head - which is plastic about the density of Jello. What kind of third rate engineer was in charge of this design??? After much cursing, I called in my son to manhandle the nut off of the screw so that I could throw the entire piece of garbage into the dumpster! What a complete waste of time and money - DON'T BUY THIS - EVER! I wouldn't even take another one if it were given to me for free - it's worthless plastic garbage.
