Running boards came with a defective magnetic induction module. Will have to disassemble interior again to install when I get the replacement. That's a disappointment. Instructions say to sandwich the control module with the passenger side idler. When I did that, the wiring harness was too short to reach the passenger front motor. I wound up mounting the control panel separately on the forward middle mount and the idler on the rear middle mount. Wiring harness fit fine after that. I'm guessing that's what the M8X25MM bolts were for, since there's nothing in the instructions that tells you where they're used. Installation time for me was about 6 hours. Wasn't that difficult, but wasted a lot of time troubleshooting wiring harness and then disassembling and reassembling the idler, and then troubleshooting defective induction module.

I had a professional install the running boards. The hardware would have been easy, but I did not want to do the wiring myself. I really like the way that they tuck up under the chassis and preserve the stance of the truck. And, of course, the automation is so convenient by presenting them when you want them and putting them away when the doors close.
