Shark 120 V Handheld Vacuum Cleaner - DuoClean Technology

I chose to review this vacuum as part of the Spark Reviewer program. This is my first ever Shark product for my home. I have tile and hardwood on my main floor, and with two young children at home, I am sweeping floors every day. I was really impressed with how easy this vacuum was to put together and to operate. It came in 3 pieces which just snapped together. It's also very user friendly! It has two options - bare floor/area rugs or high pile carpet. The vacuum also folds down to store. The brush rolls are also incredibly soft! I took a picture to show the layout. I am not worried about damaging my floors with this vacuum. The vacuum has buttons to access the brush roll, so it should be easy to clean it. My son loves to vacuum the floors, and this vacuum is super easy for him to use. It self propels, which makes it easier and faster to vacuum our area rugs. The vacuum also has an easy to empty dust cup with an anti-allergen seal which "captures and traps 99.9% of dust and allergens down to 1 micron." This is really nice since we have 2 cats. Overall, I'm really impressed with this vacuum and grateful for the opportunity to own and review it. I would highly recommend it for those with hard floors/area rugs because it makes cleaning so much easier and faster.

This vacuum is definitely a replacement for my broom & dustpan! I have all tile floors with area rugs. I've never found a true carpet to bare-floor vacuum. This one performs well on both carpeted rugs and bare-floors. In the box: Partially disassembled vacuum, crevice, 2in1 brush/upholstery tool, Oversized accessory bag with drawstring, quick start guide and manual. After opening the box-Assembly was a breeze, everything clicks right into place. I was immediately impressed with the metallic finish and quality feel of all the parts. It is "Ultra Light" as claimed but not from lack of quality material. At first use, I was a bit turned off by the inability to leave it standing upright on its own. This is my first "Stick" type vacuum. It does fold and stands half-way upright. It took some getting used to but was user issue and not product. I love that it can fit in the bottom of my tiny hall closet, thus, becoming one of my fav features. In the day-to-day use, it's really a breeze! I LOVE that it has lights to guide your way into dark corners and underneaths. All of the segments disassemble/fold/click back seamlessly. The cord is super-long and reaches everywhere in my house from one centrally located outlet. It's abilities to get into places and clean my floor are unsurpassed by any other methods. It floats along the bare floors with no resistance. However, on rugs-- it propels itself across and can feel a little odd. It did make my rugs look fluffy-almost-new. It has powerful suction and is great with pet hair. Overall, I highly recommend this product. Once you have a little practice, it's a dream to use.
