These were firmer than I thought they would be but way softer than a hard sharp corner of a desk, table, etc. So far they have stopped my son from scrapping or bruising his elbow over and over. They have stuck well to marble, pressed particle board, as well as real wood. I felt they were easy to install. Also inexpensive.
