You'd think $700 is a great value for 1/2ct natural diamond stones, but PLEASE educate yourselves on quality. This ring is 10k white gold which is the lowest grading for solid gold sellable. Next the clarity of ring is I2 which is second to the worst rating for diamonds (worst is I3). This means that it has many inclusions or imperfections in the diamond. So this is basically scrap diamonds they probably spent pennys on to gather and sell to unknowing buyers for hundreds as such. For $700 you can get a VVS2 diamond ring from Costco either 1/4 or 1/2 carat. VVS2 is on the high scale (the scale from best to worst is: FL, IF, VVS1, VVS2, VS1, VS2, SI1, SI2, I1, I2, 13). Shame on Walmart! And they also sourced it from India which is more indicative that these are scrap diamonds since India is too place to cut diamonds sourced from all over the world because it's cheapest place. So there are many scrap diamonds that jewelers won't want to buy as the imperfection is too high, so Walmart is buying these scraps from them.
