Mr. Coffee One-Touch CoffeeHouse Espresso & Latte Maker with Milk Frother

So far, I love it. My Mr. Coffee Cafe Barista had been limping along for a long time. Then, I noted a tear in the group gasket, and a new one was not provided by the manufacturer. Someone posted that a specific washer could substitute, but when I found that I had bought my beloved machine 10 years ago, I decided it was time for a new one. The One-Touch model is very similar to the Cafe Barista, which is still available, but it costs a lot less despite more bars of pressure, and all reviewers loved it. There are a few other advantages. When you push the manual espresso button, coffee keeps flowing until you push it again. I guess that's the one-touch feature. Also, with the Cafe Barista, making cappuccino or latte was unpredictable. If I set my new One-Touch on cappuccino, I know it will make the perfect amount for my cappuccino cup, rather than overflowing and making a mess.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was lent one of these machines during the pandemic and I can say that it is an excellent household appliance because it is very easy to make your favorite coffee, very quickly and you get a foamy coffee with a delicious aroma and flavor. It is a bit noisy but nothing that I deducted your work as (coffee maker)…I write this only 7 days after receiving the machine, so I can't speak to longevity yet. Up to this point? Super nice! Based on the reviews I had read I took the time to read every word of the accompanying manual. Sure enough, there were several steps required to "prepare" the unit before using it for the first time. I followed the instructions exactly and also followed the cleaning instructions for the entire unit. I have been using home espresso machines, stoves and others. This is not what I would call something like intuitive. The manual is the only way to go. None of the home units I've owned have been heavy enough to NOT require two hands. That filter is going to be subject to an incredible amount of pressure, and you want the filter to be very tight. It is true that most of the machine is made of plastic, so it is very light. After a learning curve, I find that the machine makes really delicious coffees. The espresso delivers a truly delicious crema and the frothing unit delivers a lovely hot creamy foam. I am very satisfied with the machine. And regarding any negative detail I have nothing to contribute, just recommend it as a multifunctional, practical, safe and very useful machine for the home.
