My heavier, more sturdier grate drooped after many years of fires. This is a lot lighter and I do not expect it to last very long but I knew that when I ordered it. So far after a few fires, it is holding up well, but I'm in Florida. Would not advise it for more fires in a colder climate. I just don't think it would hold up well but that's just my opinion. You get what you pay for.
