The decal sheets worked fine with my B%26W laser printer. No coating was needed to protect the printing. The decal film seemed a bit thicker than some I have used before. If the item to be covered is smooth, it should work, but I did find that if I could pick up an edge, the decal could be peeled off. Perhaps the finished item should be coated to prevent that.
