Item was listed as opened-box, but listed as “Excellent condition with no signs of usage and still in its original packaging or generic packaging. Packaging can be open or show signs of wear, but original accessories are included. Instructions are included for appropriate categories.” Instead, I received a worn-out box that appears to have been used and reused several times, meaning item probably have been sold and re-sold several times. Speaker box date, listed as 2024. More importantly, item had grim on top of speaker box, grim on speakers screen, grim on handles. I had to clean item before touching it. Also, no charging cable. After contacting seller, they wanted proof and picture of item condition. I always find statements like that ironic, as if they don't know what they sent me? Seller, stated that it was important to them to take care of this, but wanted me to file a claim with shipper, including details, and send them another email regarding how to find the missing parts. Instead of wasting more of my time on this, including several emails that I sent to seller addressing the various issues, I returned this item back to seller in better shape than how I received it (clean). Also, it appears some of speaker buttons were not working correctly and sounds quality very poor compared to the LG Boom Speaker Go P5's. I even tried to re-set unit sound system, with no improvements. LG Boom Speaker Go P7 sounds quality should be far more supreme than the LG Boom Speaker Go P5. Not the case with this unit. Bottom line, when a seller advertised an item as open-box, but claims that it is in “Excellent condition with no signs of usage and still in its original packaging or generic
packaging. Packaging can be open or show signs of wear, but original accessories are included." Don't believe them and don't waste your hard earned money and time on their nonsense. Especially, when they want you to prove to them what junk they sent to you. Rubbish, whiling acting as if they really care about providing quality service in solving any issues and looking for positive reviews. Solution is simple, third parties, like this seller, should take responsibility in not sending junk in the first place, in order to make a quick sale. Ironically, seller is now selling this item at a lower price than what I paid. More importantly, Walmart should do a better job in screening third party sellers. Time wasted and the frustration for the buyer is not productive. Especially, all the loops one has to deal with in these kinds of situations. As I stated, all could have been avoided if third-party sellers, like this one, would be more trustworthy in the first place and sell products as they claim it to be in the first place.
