I bought this about 3 weeks ago and at first thought it was better than other rotating-style boxes, since my cat wasn’t getting dirty litter everywhere. It’s also easy to add litter and remove the waste bin and I like that there is an app/ Wi-Fi required, which can be a plus for some people. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.
Negatives: This box is way too small for a large cat. One of my cats is about 17 lbs. His body is too long for this type of cat box. My other large cat is a litter kicker and litter goes everywhere. Even with a litter mat. It has completely ruined my carpet.
The odor control is terrible. There is basically none. I’ve tried multiple types of litter, and the problem is clearly the box design. The waste bin is open underneath, so smells are not contained at all. On top of that, the poop/ urine clumps fall out the front or get stuck. If your cat makes larger clumps the box does not rotate fully. instead of putting it into the waste bin. Because of all this, I’m now looking for yet another self-cleaning litter box. I do like the open style better than the rotating ones, but I won’t be buying another product from this brand.
