it's a godsend! since i bought this for my mom and everybody freaks out when they see what such a modest inexpensive device can do, my mom suffers from severe edema in both legs, which causes massive water weight that makes it too difficult for her to stand on her own, and both myself and my sister on either side of her still could not lift her because she was dead weight, i used this device on her for the first time in the nursing home and she looked at me when sheer shock, she couldn't believe she was standing, and i couldn't believe i never lost my balance trying to pull her up, AND I PULLED HER UP BY MYSELF! unfortunately for our particular situation i couldn't use it to get her up from the floor, but they do have devices like that online you just have to hunt for them; but it's a cinch getting her up from a sitting position! whoever made this please don't stop, older folks need these desperately and we thank you so much!
