The experience with terrible that further led to frustrating experience. On October 10, 2024, I ordered two duffel bags for $5 each, expecting timely delivery. However, after waiting over two weeks without receiving my items, I reached out to Walmart Customer Support for assistance on October 29, 2024.
During this call, I spoke with Betina (customer service agent), who advised me to place another order for the same items and assured me that the difference in price would be refunded once the items were delivered. I specifically requested that she note this agreement in the system, and she confirmed that the notes were recorded.
After receiving the replacement duffel bags on November 6, 2024, I contacted customer support once more to process the refund. Unfortunately, I was informed by the second customer service agent that no notes had been made regarding the refund. I explained the entire situation, and he then placed me on hold to submit a refund request, assuring me that the refund would be processed within 24-48 hours.
To my surprise, after still not receiving the refund by November 11, 2024, I placed a third call to Walmart Customer Service. This time, the agent informed me that no refund request had been submitted, and further, that the information provided by the previous agents was incorrect. The agent stated that a refund could not be issued, and the only option was to return the items – an unacceptable and inconvenient resolution, given the circumstances.
This situation has been a significant hassle and inconvenience due to the lack of clear communication and follow-through on Walmart's part. This all started due to the lack of communication from the seller on why the initial order never shipped when the item was purchased for $5 each. Very bad experience and will never do business with this seller.
