I would recommend this belt to anyone with back pain. I have used this back support belt for many years and recently purchased a another new one. These are easy to put on and you can adjust the support by how tight you pull the waist straps across your abdomen to attach the end piece to the velcro area so they stay put. I can wear this belt for any activity and always use it when I am going to lift heavy objects especially if the project involves moving and bending or holding your position bent over a work area. The elastic that holds the straps you pull over your belly does not stretch out over time and does not slip up when you are working. The tightness or pressure when you strap the belt on stays the same no matter how long you wear it. I forget I am wearing it after I put it on. Also there are times I do not want the belt to be seen so I strap it on under the shirt or blouse I am wearing. I do recommend you wear a camisole or some type of thin undershirt in case your skin is sensitive in any way and with long term wear you may sweat a little if on bare skin. This belt is intended to support the lumbar spine which it does, however the belt is wide enough to a bit more height so it provides actual support to the lumbar area by covering a little more above and below the area. I often get back pain or spasm like pain in my midback right next to the sping and I wear this belt for that pain as well. I believe this belt support relieves this paid by making the muscles in that area stop working so hard to support me upright due to the belt taking a large part of that burden off my muscles.
