Walmart carries vitamins and supplements at sometimes even lower prices than the major sites such as Swanson and Vitacost. Before you buy at those sites, it would be worth it to check out Walmart.
See there is this thing called MAPP, which allows supplement manufacturers to set a specific price on what any reseller of their products can be sold at similar to the Tempurpedic bed. After Tempurpedic won that landmark case, a lot of vitamin companies have piggybacked their pricing policy on that court decision.
It is not right that any company can force any re-seller of their products to be sold for what the MFG says to sell it at. However as a consumer, there really is light at the end of the tunnel. Walmart is probably the only company in the world that NONE OF THESE VITAMIN MANUFACTURERS want to take on in COURT, as WALMARTS attorneys will mop the floor WITH THEM.
See as a consumer, we really do want the BEST PRICE, on anything, that we buy, and if Walmart ever does buy Tempurpedic beds TO RE-SELL and for whatever reason they/Walmart decides to clearance them out, and Walmart decides to get rid of them for under a dollar, EVEN TEMPURPEDIC with their landmark decision would NOT relish the thought of going up against Walmart’s attorneys.
I just hope that as a consumer, that I can find deals like I did with DIGEST GOLD on Walmart’s site.
