PhosBind is effective for my 17 year old cat in a very tiny, small dust of an amount, on each of her 5-7 small meals a day. A little mix of distilled water is put in the food and if I microwave it, 11 seconds, I don't put the PhosBind in until After. (Mic will destroy the PhosBind.) I push the minute amount into the food. It's less than you'd think. Too much of PhoBind, which didn't seem like it had even been enough, wound up making her stop eating for one %26 1/2 days. I finally got her to eat a taste of just plain food-her can Friskies Indoor. After she came around, I gave a smaller dust spec of the PhosBind. Like what may go on half a straight pin, or needle. Tiny. On each meal. She's gained some weight back and is only a little thin in the hips, now. Doing great. Alert, insistent, happy! She takes a portion of arthritis Rx, Dasuquin on her food every other or three days and she's jumping better with that. Researching is most important to continually learn about these new ideas for our cats. Cross checking and thinking about our own predicament is our job, as well as the feeding and comfort of our animal companions.
