I thought this was a coverlet and would have a little bit of weight to it. It is literally like a piece of flowered fabric. I put it on my bed As a bedspread but you certainly could not use this as a blanket. It had a horrible smell when I opened the original packaging and had to wash it twice before I could use it. I would not have purchased if I had seen it live in a store.
