The game that most know as PUBG is more than a game. It's the title that pioneered the Battle Royale genre, now one of the most popular multiplayer modes around. It has over 400 million players and has been ported from Microsoft Windows to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Android and iOS. PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is a phenomenon, and you can find it at Walmart.com.

PUBG is an online PvP (player versus player) shooter where the goal is to be the last player standing. Up to one hundred players parachute onto a large map, scavenge for weapons and equipment and try to survive. Unlike other shooters where ammo and supplies are plentiful, PUBG requires you to get by with little more than a handful of bullets and a few pieces of armor to protect yourself. However, killed players can be looted to acquire their gear. Gameplay can be experienced from either a first-person or third-person perspective, each offering certain advantages and disadvantages. It's easier to fire accurately in first-person mode, but third-person mode provides more spatial awareness.

As the round progresses, the playable area of the map begins to shrink. If you're caught outside the safe zone, you'll take damage and will eventually be eliminated if you don't make it to the safe zone in time. Luckily, PUBG also has vehicles to help traverse the map quickly. At the end of the round, which usually takes no more than 30 minutes, players receive an amount of G-Coins that's based on their performance. G-Coins are the in-game currency of PUBG and can be used to purchase crates containing cosmetic items for character or weapon customization.
