Best Friends Animal Society is a national nonprofit organization that works with communities and partners across the country to help pets find loving homes. Since 1984, the organization has partnered with more than 6,000 shelter and rescue groups nationwide, as well as local organizations and businesses, to create programs that support pets, families and neighborhoods. Based in Kanab, Utah, Best Friends supports community-focused initiatives, shares data and resources, operates the country’s largest no-kill animal sanctuary, and runs pet adoption centers in Bentonville, Arkansas; Houston, Texas; Salt Lake City, Utah; New York City, New York; and Los Angeles, California. Through collaboration and practical solutions, Best Friends works to make it easier for people to welcome pets into their lives and strengthen the communities they call home.
