You can obtain a Minecraft DLC promo code by purchasing a qualifying promotional item from Walmart. A list of current qualifying items and promo code expiration dates is available online in the Minecraft Promotion Terms and Conditions at: walmart.com/minecraft/promo

For qualifying item(s) purchased in-store, a DLC promo code (25-digits) will be present near the bottom of your receipt (with the exception of certain digital items as described in the next question/answer). A DLC promo code may be called an “Activation Code” on your receipt. If you purchase a qualifying item online, a DLC promo code will be emailed to you after your purchase within 7 days (with the exception of certain digital items as described in the next question/answer).

Due to the nature of these products, you must visit a site and enter certain information from your purchase to retrieve your promo code. Please visit https://www.walmart.com/minecraft/promo and scroll down to Addendum A for details on how to receive a promo code for the specific product you purchased.

1. Go to minecraft.net/redeem 

2. Input your 25-digit code in the “Enter Code” box in the Walmart module.

3. Sign in with the Microsoft Account in which you would like to use the item.

4. Follow the instructions to download the item.

5. Go to My games and Apps, or My library on the device you play Minecraft: Bedrock Edition on, to download the item.

6. Enjoy your item in Minecraft: Bedrock Edition.

Yes, a Microsoft Account is required to redeem DLC promo codes.

You can redeem one (1) DLC promo code per Minecraft digital item available through the promotion. If you purchase multiple items that come with separate free in-game digital items, you can redeem multiple DLC codes. However, will not be able to redeem multiple DLC promo codes for the same in-game digital item. Any DLC promo codes you receive and do not redeem will remain valid until the applicable expiration date listed in the Minecraft Promotion Terms and Conditions (walmart.com/minecraft/promo). If you have extra DLC promo codes, you may give them to friends, family, or other Minecraft players.

You must purchase one of the qualifying products listed in the Minecraft Promotion Terms and Conditions (walmart.com/minecraft/promo) to obtain a DLC promo code for a free Minecraft in-game item.

Your new item will be found within the Character Creator! Once you are in Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, select Dressing Room, and then Edit your character.

To equip your Character Creator item in Minecraft: Bedrock Edition

1. Launch Minecraft: Bedrock Edition

2. Sign in with the Microsoft Account used to redeem the code

3. Open the Profile menu

4. Choose the character you would like to equip the item on and select Edit Character

5. From the Style menu, find the appropriate category of item you redeemed (outerwear, gloves, etc.) and equip your item!

You will need Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, found on Android, Apple iOS, Nintendo Switch, Sony PlayStation 4 or 5, Chromebook, Windows, or Xbox One and X|S to access your redeemed content. You need to redeem the DLC promo code to the specific Microsoft Account you wish the in-game digital item to be tied to. Then you will need to sign into Minecraft: Bedrock Edition with that account on a supported device.

You will need to ensure the game is listed as “Minecraft” for this content to work properly. For example, things that are not listed as “Minecraft” but instead listed as “Minecraft: New Nintendo 3DS Edition”, “Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition”, “Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition”, “Minecraft: Xbox One Edition”, “Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition”, “Minecraft: Wii U Edition” will not sync with in-game items.
