Poker buttons

Buttons can make poker easier to play, especially for beginners. In many poker games, buttons help denote certain players' functions. For example, the dealer may have a button that says "dealer" if the position rotates throughout the duration of the game. Pick up one of these buttons when you typically don't have a dedicated dealer in your games. You can also get an "all in" button that gives players a visual cue and helps minimize confusion about gameplay. Buttons can be especially useful for people who are newer to the game.

Your average poker game set won't come with any special buttons, though some specialty sets do. The most commonly used buttons are for the dealer and for blinds, which are rotated to different players throughout the game depending on bets. If you're planning to play certain types of poker, like Texas hold'em or Omaha hold'em, it's helpful to have "small blind" and "big blind" buttons on hand. For some added fun, choose blinds with fun designs, like your favorite musical group's logo.
