What is a fitness trampoline?

A fitness trampoline, sometimes referred to as a rebounder, is a small trampoline designed to be used by one person at a time and are intended to elevate the heart-rate through intense movements, similar to step-aerobics. You can simply bounce your way to a flatter stomach, toned thighs and legs and a lifted buttocks. Their small size allows for easy storage, simply slide under a bed or put away in a closet when not in use. Rebounding improves circulation, increases the capacity of your heart and lungs, and builds strength and stamina, boosting all round fitness.

What are the different styles of fitness trampolines?

Fitness trampolines are available in diameters ranging from 36 inches to 55 inches and are available in spring and spring-less designs. The base of trampolines are typically made of steel, this provides a sturdy base for safe jumping. Spring-style trampolines are constructed with springs that are positioned along the outer edge of the trampoline, although most modern versions have pads or panels that cover these springs, the springs can still cause accidental injuries. Spring-less trampolines are designed specially to reduce or even eliminate the chance of accidental injuring caused by jumping on, or being pinched by springs. Spring-less trampolines are designed with rods that sit under the jumping matt, completely out of the way of the jumper, or elastic bands that act like springs but are soft and flexible. Some fitness trampolines feature adjustable hand rails and bungee cords to either intensify your workout or provide additional support.
