How do I choose the size handlebars I need for my bike?

Weight distribution is important when buying handlebars for your bike. You want to ride comfortably and have the best performance possible. To get the best-fitting handlebars, find the two bony areas of your shoulders and measure the distance between them. The bony area, or joint, can be felt at the top of your shoulder near the curve of where your arm begins.

Are bike handlebars interchangeable?

You can use the same size handlebars on your bike as long as the clamp size is compatible with your stem. If you need an adaptor to fit a different style handlebar to the stem, it's probably not a good idea to use it.

Is there a difference between narrow and standard bicycle handles?

Narrow handlebars speed up handling but decrease accuracy, so if you're not an experienced biker, you should use standard handlebars. Narrow handlebars are also best used by those who bend their elbows when riding.
