- 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase8/10/2023I mean how can you go wrong on a 45 Lb weight? lol 5 stars because its exactly what I ordered. Yah, I didn't weigh it.

Dylan - 4 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase10/6/2022individually wrapped - looked exactly like the picture - needed to be a box with better packaging and stronger tape so the box won't rupture and open
heavy items need stronger shipping materials
Scott - 4 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase7/16/2014Great price! The diameter of the entire plate is about 4 inches bigger than most 45lb plates bit the thickness is about 1 inch less... So, these are great for barbells but will limit the range of motion for dumbbell usage.
not as thick but larger in diameter than most plat
dbk57 - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase12/16/2013Just like the plates at the gym. Low price and free shipping (unbelievable to me). No brainer for good home gym. Paired with Olympic 7 foot bar and other weight sizes also from Walmart and saved considerable money. Very happy.
Nice Plates
CaptainDingle - 4 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase4/13/2013Happy overall. Do not have an accurate scale to see how similar/dissimilar the plates are in weight nor whether they are actually 25 lbs (or a bit over or under), but for the price...it can't be beat.
great price, good delivery (free pickup at store)
gaberoo - 2 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase4/18/2013Plates are very cheaply made and seriously poor quality (poor finish, surfaces not smooth) compared to the Standard Plate set I purchased 12 years ago.cellis001
- 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase5/6/2014This product is what it says it is, 45lbs and I am happy to have one for both sides of my barbell. I had smaller ten pound weights loaded onto my barbell and was about to do a dead-lift, but the bar was too low for me to keep the arch in my lower back. Now not only can I stack more weight as I get stronger, but the 45lb plates have raised the barbell to a level that will save my back.
Worth their weight.
- 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase9/13/2013This is a good cheap weight to use if you're building your home gym up. If I had to guess I'd say the weights are fairly accurate and fit well on my olympic bars. There are imperfections in the plates. You can see small chips and scores around the plates, and the paint job is pretty sloppy, but things like that don't bother me. They're for lifting not putting on display, and work perfectly well. Haven't had any issues with them.
good cheap weight
Jerseyrebel - 1 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase12/24/2016I purchased two 45 lb Olympic weight plates by CAP. The manufacture of these items was substandard. The weight on one of the p[lates was not distributed equally around the center, causing it to rotat/ spin when placed on the weight rack or barbell. I don't know if this contributed to the plate tilting when on the rack/ barbell or if the hole in the center was cast out of square. I could just see using these and one day not paying attention and having the thing spin off onto my toes. I was also disappointed with the finish on these, although I could have lived with it. I would never purchase weight plates from Walmart again and definitely do not recommend anyone else do so.
Olympic Weight Plate
Rone - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase4/20/2013I recently bought an Olympic-style barbell. It came with 80 lbs. of plates: 2x 25, 2x 10, 2x 5. This means I can load the bar with 10, 20, 30, 50, 60, 70, or 80 lbs. Note the jump from 30 to 50. I wanted two more 5 lb. plates to fill in the gap. These plates fit my barbell, weigh what they should, arrived quickly, and cost the least money for what I needed.
Does what I needed at a bargain price.
Nemocapt - 3 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase3/2/2023Ordered 2 - 45 lb plates at the same time. One looks great, slick finish , well done. Sits on the bar nice and straight. The other plate…….BAD, oh so bad. Very rough, looks worse than my 20 yr old plates. Lots of spatter from mold, very poor quality. Not even close to same slick finish. Must have been made at a different sweat shop. Sits on the bar at a 10 degree angle. Only needed em for a leg press so the bad one isn’t an issue. Just needed the weight. For the price though I can’t complain. But I did anyway.
Hit and miss quality
James - 4 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase7/22/2013I purchased several CAP Barbell plates in varying sizes. These are basic, good value weights. They're not perfect and pretty, but the holes fit the bar and they do their desired function - provide weight resistance. If you want a "designer" gym to show off to your friends, go spend a lot more money elsewhere. If you just want to get fit, these will work fine. I didn't weigh them to verify accuracy.
Good for the money

The scenario with myself now at the 425 lbs. mark with the assumption of lifting 1 to 2 times a week to portray the relationships of the body rejuvenating between workouts. When scanning and analysising the movements on a jokingly row column setting layout can say been increasing the free weights by 45 to 90 lbs. for each lift ever bi~weekly basis. Laughing now when seeing the sequenc...

Jerseyrebel - 4 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase3/11/2023these olympic (big hole) weight plates are a little rough on the edges and in the hole. The paint gets knocked off here and there in shipping. They could use better packaging. If you’re worried about the cosmetics of your weights, you were missing the point. so, they do the job of lifting them up and putting them back down . Thanks !
heavy
GenitAlien - 1 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase4/15/2014I ordered two plates and one was fine but the second had a very sloppy casting which produced a hole that was too small to fit on my olympic-sized bar's sleeves. I actually had to put a grinder wheel into a drill and increase the hole size to get it to slide on the bar. It took me about 20 minutes of grinding to get the hole properly sized and uniform.
Poor Quality
rboc - 2 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase3/11/2023I bought two 25 lb. CAP Olympic plates: One was ok quality - about what I expected of cheap plates. The other was very poor quality with sharp edges and slag on the inside of the plate. A piece of slag took a small chunk of skin out of the pad of my thumb when I was unpacking it. I chiseled and filed the slag off as much as I could to be able to pick it up safely after that.
Plates are marginal quality
Richard - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase1/30/2022Very pleased with weight. It was hard for me to find a place to buy just 1 plate. The price point was good. Before covid the typical price was about $1- $1.50 per lb so this price was spot on with that price point. The weight itself only had 1 knick in it and comes in at weighing 44.6 lbs. The packaging was a thin flat box with 1 side having shredded cardboard glued together and the other side was those air filled pouches that were all out of air. I was surprised that the plate wasn't beat up with how it was shipped. I hope in the furture Walmart moves away from using FedEx as their shipper. There is always a delay and the items always show up as though they went through a tornado. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase.
44.6 lbs
Zackd24 - 1 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase1/4/2022Dislike the poor quality of these CAP 45lb olympic iron plates. I know these are low price weights, but the quality is so poor, I need to return them. There are pits and sharp metal on both pairs I ordered. I think the CAP olympic iron plates with the cut-outs to grab the weight would be a better purchase even though a bit more expensive.tom
