Sometimes food residue builds up and collects on a nonstick surface after a period of time, which may cause the food to stick. We recommend washing your pan, with a thorough cleaning using Soft Scrub® (without the bleach). Do not use abrasive cleansers, steel wool or coarse scouring.

After you've thoroughly cleaned your pan, you should then season by lightly rubbing cooking oil onto the cooking surface and heating the fry pans over medium heat for two to three minutes. When cool, hand-wash in warm, soapy water and rinse.

Do not use nonstick aerosol cooking sprays in your pans. They will leave a residue, which may be difficult to remove, and will cause foods to stick to the pans.

it shouldnt start sticking....make sure you cook only on medium or lower it has great heat conduction....and make sure you have seasoned it and only washed it when it has cooled down with mild soap and soft cloth....if it does start sticking I would try seasoning it again with some veg. oil for a few min then let cool, pour oil out and wipe clean with paper towel...thats it...I've had mine now for 3 weeks and everything still perfect....

I haven't had this happen, but the instructions say to season the pan again like you did before the first use.

Unfortunately, there is no lid for this pan. Although it's not made with the same ivory interior, a good, functional option would be Tramontina Select 5-Quart Non-stick Covered Saute Pan. It has straight walls, and comes with a lid to cover your food,

So far this pan seems to be what it's supposed to be, a pan with a non stick surface that will stay.

Good frying pan

I've had one of these wonderful skillets for a couple of years and just recently bought another one just because I never want to be without one. The first one is still fine, but starting to show its' age just a bit. Never sticks even the tiniest bit. LOVE it!

My favorite skillet!!

The non-stick porcelain finish is easy to clean and because of the large size pan, I am able to make easy and fast one dish meals from the stove top to the table.

The best skillet I have ever purchased

Bought this when the old non-stick pan lost its non-stickiness. We wanted to try the ceramic surface stuff, and decided on this. It far exceeds expectations. Season the pan before use, and never use soap to wash it. Stuff just comes out with a rinse of water and a paper towel. Also takes a lot less heat to cook food (i.e. Med Hi on old pan translates into Med on this pan.)

If you're looking for this type of cookware, don't hesitate to try this line. Stylish, High Quality, Made in USA, Great Warranty...you really can't go wrong.

I love these pans! Purchased 2 of them about one year ago and decided to get more. Love that they are ceramic,non stick and will not harm you when using them. When cooking you only need Medium heat as they heat up fast and cooking in them is effortless,as well as, washing them. Teflon OUT Ceramic IN! Don't harm your family cooking withTeflon, switch to Ceramic.

Best Fry Pan I ever used.

This pan is exceptional! I've tried just about evr;y non-stick coating pan out there and this has to be the best. you'll be amazed at the easy cleanup, the choice of colors, and easy handling. I must tell you however, that if you dont follow the cleaning instructions (like I Didnt), you can put a scratch in it (like I did). Anyhow, the pan is very hih quality. Besides, I love supporting American jobs and profits. Thanx again Wal-Mart!

Very Practical

I absolutely love Tramontina cookware because of the way they take extra care in designing useful cookware. This porcelain 12in fry pan is excellent. The interior DOES NOT STICK. You keep the heat on Medium and foods come out great. I hate the teflon coated cookware because it always scratches and flakes off into your food. This fry pan, if you take care of it will not do that and will look good for a long time. I plan of buying two more of these pans because of their useful qualities. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants good cookware without teflon coating and a company that makes quality cookware.

Tramontina Porcelain 12in fry pan

I had bought a set of pots of the same brand at Walmart and really like them.  So when I realized I needed a larger pan I decided I wanted the same brand.   I love this pan.  The size is perfect and it cooks evenly and well.  My only complaint is that the inside of the pan appears to be discoloring and unevenly..  After hard cleaning I have been able to get it a little lighter but I think this will be an issue.  The other pots I have by this company aren't so light and this is not problem.  This is why I gave it a 4 instead of a 5.

My husband got this pan for me as a Christmas gift so we could have a non stick pan without chemicals leaching into our food.  Despite the instructions saying that you can use any kind of utensil other than metal (rubber, wood, silicon, etc), we noticed faint scratching in the first few weeks if we used a rubber spatula.  We opted to use only silicon after about week two, and within a few months, the ceramic enamel was still flaking off, the scratch marks just seemed to deepen every time we cooked something in it, despite ONLY USING SILICON UTENSILS.  I tried to send it back to Tramontina since it was clearly under the one year warranty, but it was going to cost $15 to ship it back to them, and there was no guarantee they were going to replace it....just take a look and see what they thought, even though I had sent pictures showing the problems with the inside, and no burns on the bottom of the pan or handle, showing that we never overheated the pan.  Big disappointment in their product, and though the costumer service rep was nice, their customer service is quite disappointing.  We're going to try something else, as we can't keep purchasing a pan, only to pay another $15 to send it back within 7 or 8 months.  On the bright side, it's a great pan for about 4 or 5 months!
