Yes it has chamois (padding) in between the legs and its thick padding.

Yes, they have padding for comfort while riding.

Yes and I find it works very well. I am not endowed with an ample backside so during spinning class the bike seat hurt. After I wore these the problem was solved! Just ordered a second pair.

They have nice padding, but they run very small so I would order a larger size

in my opinion, this padded bike shorts is more suitable for riding the real bicycle.
while for doing spinning/cycling class, it's better use the padded seat cover instead.
and after few classes, you will get used to it so it will not hurt your crotch as bad.

depends on the size of your thighs, because there is "anti-slip" band inside the seam on the bottom to avoid the shorts from ride-up..this part may be critical in fitting the shorts (in my opinion).
I am pretty much the same size as you and I am comfortable wearing medium.

Hi, I am 5' 6 1/2" and about 149lbs and the medium are a good fit.

I weigh 130# and am 5'4" tall. Should I order these in medium or large?

Size fits true to fit. Quality is very good.  Normal wear is comfortable.  Have not hiked in them yet.  Will road test next week.

I like the wide chamois without the lumps of the gel pads. I just rode 38 miles and was quite comfortable without chafing. I can buy several for the price of one branded short. My husband is wearing them too.

I had read other reviews and ordered a large instead of my usual medium size. They fit big so ordered a medium to try that size out. Regardless of them being a bit big they worked good and provided the protection I needed on my bike ride. Great value.

worked good

I had been looking for cheaper "padded" bike shorts, and found these shorts. I am happy with my purchase.
but I think when you do spinning class you do not need this shorts. because normally you do an hour class and when you get used to it (for me it took about 6 one-hour-spinning/cycling class) you do not need this padded bike shorts which is more suitable for real bicycle ride.
for spinning class, in my opinion, a padded seat cover is more functional.

good & economical bike shorts

The padding definitely makes a positive difference in my bike rides. However, the hem of the legs has this gripper 'film' that is designed to hold them in place. It does that, but the markings have stayed on my legs at least a week after I ride. It's not painful, but it looks like a bruise. I suppose I might roll them up to avoid skin contact.

I had to return this shorts because they are too tight on my thighs.
I wear size small on my normal clothing. since there is some kind of anti-slip band on the thighs part, so they are too tight and not comfortable. although I was fine with the fitting on the waist and hip.

good shorts

Pretty good shorts for the price. I'd say they run a little small. I wear a ladies 6 to 8 in jeans and I bought the Medium. The waistband and leg bands are quite tight. I'd probably be more comfortable in a Large. On a positive note, the padded crotch is smooth and does not have uncomfortable stitched seams.

Decent bike shorts

I alwasy wear small or xs and ordered online because thesy don't stock them in my store. The quality is very good, howevevr, the run extremely small. They are also cut very low which was not a comfortable fit. I had to return them.

Runs very small

I returned these due to the tight bands at the opening of the legs. I really thought that would be constricting during a ride. They were a little small for me, too, and I usually do wear a large. Inexpensive though so if the bands at leg openings don't bother you, a good value.

didn't like tight elastic at bottom of shorts' leg

Fabric very thin, almost see-thru. Price can't be beat, but I think price basically reflects what you are going to get, a product that is not worth buying.
