First impression, gorgeous hand grips. 

The reel retainer clamp, mount and screw operate smooth almost slick. 

The six eyes (line guides) have a massive mound of epoxy giving the integration a nice blended fitting.. looks nice. My gripe here is, mine was put together with the front eye at 11pm compared to the others at midnight, sad-face.

The rod is half a thick as my fiberglass and the 'action' transcends nicely with the front 12 inches having the greatest flex yet still nicely firm.

Overall it's a great short pole, very slim and lightweight, love it!

Slim, Lightweight modern materials

Great price, appears well made, metal eyelets a plus, love the cork grip and layout!

Love these rods!  Can't wait to put them to work!

This rod is well made all of the eyelets for the line appear to be set with epoxy and the pole is made of graphite.. They also stand well off the pole making threading the line very easy. I wish it were in two pieces making it easier to carry. I like to carry some fishing equipment in my car trunk so I can fish wherever I come across agood spot. I particurlarly like the eyelet for the hook keeper. It is easily accessible and easy to disengage the hook whenyou are ready to fish. Cant wait to go try it out.

Lightweight but very strong

This fishing rod is 7' long, lightweight and feels very comfortable in the hand. The end of the rod as well as the hand grip area is made with cork material providing good gripping when in action with the pole. Rod is pretty nice looking with acrylic like coating and flexible to allow for a good feel of smaller to medium size fish bites. Don't forget to pair this rod with a good spinning reel. Recommended.

Light weight with good grips 7' fishing rod

Spinning rod has plenty of flex for feeling the action. Is extremely light for easy handling. Nice one-piece length of 5.5 feet allows it to fit nicely in just about any vehicle. The cork grip gives you plenty of control without slipping. The metal hook keeper is really nice for helping to keep you safe and ready for your next fishing trip. I find this a nice complement to my fishing gear.

Light, sturdy, and ready for action

Purchased this rod to fish out of my canoe. The rod does not weight much but feels well built. I will include a picture of the guide and hook holder. I put a Daiwa reel on the rod with 4 lb test mono. I like the feel of the rod and smaller reel, and feel that because of the combo being lite, I'll be able to fish quite awhile with out arm fatigue.

Nice light rod

Nice lightweight rod that 7 feet tall for my medium small to medium size fish. This rod is nice looking and very comfortable in the hands. Has cork handles and a cork bottom to give you a nice grip on the pole. The pole itself has wonderful graphics that look great. The pole has good action, lightweight enough and flexible enough to fill those smaller fish but strong enough that it should be able to handle larger 5-6 pound fish.

Good feel

I added a Shakespeare Contender spinning reel and 4lb line. 

The handle is nice and reel holder mechanism, while plastic, holds the reel firmly in place. The matte black and grey finish, with cork in the handle is nice looking. This is a single-piece rod.

Casting felt good and line fed through the eyes very smoothly. This is a light action rod and it provides very good feedback. Fish on action is good, with nice flex support.

Only thing I dont like is the hook holder is near the end of the rod, below the reel. I prefer it up above the reel.

I usually go for the ugly sticks, but if this holds up over time I would consider getting another one of a different weight.

Nice fishing rod

I've been fishing for many years (20+) and have mainly been using the spinning real but recently I've been trying out baitcasting. Besides the fact that you have to learn to cast a different way, it's a lot of fun. Depending on your needs, this baitcaster might be a great addition to your fishing rod collection. Here are a few things I wanted to mention about it:
 - 1 piece rod
 - Made of graphite so it's a bit more gentle/sensitive compared to other rods
 - Hook anchor
 - Hand grip
 - 6'8”

First of all, it's a one piece rod. That means if you have a smaller vehicle, this will be more difficult to fit into the car. It also means that the rod is more sensitive compared to if it was a 2 piece. It is also made of graphite and this makes it more sensitive and lightweight compared to other materials. 
It has a hook anchor, which is a great choice because it makes it more convenient to put leave your hook on without putting it onto one of the eyelets of the rod. The handgrip is fairly standard as a plastic handgrip, nothing super special but it's fairly comfortable. I do like the 6'8” version because it's a happy medium for many people to use it for different types of applications (River, shore, kayak, ect). Overall I think this is a fairly decent rod with many applications!

Great Rod For Many Applications

This rod is super light at about 3 1/2 ounces. The guides are solid & well anchored, but could be just a millimeter better aligned. Severely stressing the rod showed no areas of weakness, & I never felt like it might break. Cork grips are really nice, but getting the protective plastic off them was a pain. An all around nice piece of equipment.

Supple, light weight rod.

This rod is not light. It weighs about as much as a fiberglass rod. The hook holder is by the base when it should be above the rod mount. It's not sensitive at all. I use braid and still had little to no sensitivity. It is not balanced and it's front heavy. Returned it and went with a more expensive Abu Garcia rod.

Don't believe the fake/incentivized reviews.
