I assembled the unit in about 2 hours with all of the necessary pieces and parts included as well as detailed instructions!
I was pleasantly surprised as to the quality and solidness of the finished product and it looks great!
I would highly recommend!

LOOKS GREAT!

One large drawer holds piles of small items or any thing that needs to be put out of sight and stored in the bedroom. The nightstand is 4.8 cubic feet. The total weight of the nightstand is 33 pounds while the capacity of weight this strong nightstand can accommodate to hold is 95 pounds. It holds forty pounds on top, forty pounds on the lower shelf, and 15 pounds in the drawer. It has fancy legs that are very sturdy, strong, heavy, and unique. Two screwdrivers, a medium Flat Head and a Phillips #2, and a hammer are necessary for assembly. No drill is required. The composition materials are metal and manufactured wood. The nightstand uses a huge variety of connectors: drive fastener, euro screws, pan head, flat head screw, confirmat screw, cam lock, cam bolt, wood dowel, bolt, and nail. Cam locks are used in furniture because they strongly secure heavy loads, easily can be installed, do not twist out, hold furniture edges well, have a long life, and once installed are practically not visible when sunk into the wood. The Cam Lock system can be used to best hold the high grade composite, manufactured wood, medium density fiberboard (MDF). MDF can out-perform real wood, is used in place of plywood, and is more dense and stronger than particleboard. When installing the cam locks, the top points have to face the outside edges to be oriented the right way, and then can be turned clockwise to lock or counter clockwise to open. The two metal drawer glides use a metal ball bearing glide mechanism. There is no Tipover Restraint Device included, although if included, an anchor kit safety bracket for the wall would rein in injuries from the nightstand tipping and falling over. One could be added separately to protect small kids and pets. The gray color is bland but it is shown off by a black background inside the open area. The nightstand furniture has a flair making it a practical home addition easy to look at and creating a home that looks stylish.

Prominent Design Nightstand Stands Out

When I first received the box, a corner of one of the metal hairpin legs was sticking out of the box. I think that the delivery company might have put something heavy on it, but Ameriwood Home packed all 92 pieces pretty well. The legs are well constructed, so they survived just fine. The instructions say it takes 1-2 people about 1 hour to assemble this nightstand. I didn't have any help and it took me about 2 1/2 hours, but it would have only been about 2 hours if I hadn't stopped to make a smoothie. So if a 61-year-old woman can assemble this, so can you! Be sure to count the parts before doing anything else. I always like to lay them out in the order that I'll use them. This helps me to get the hang of how to use something I've never used before, like a Cam Lock. Or, it makes me realize that Parts A and B don't have item stickers on them like the other boards. They have either A or B stamped on one end or the other. The instructions are written in such a way to make it really easy to understand what to do next. By the way, the Cam Lock Fastening System is super easy to use! Just make sure you orient them in the proper position or they won't lock into place. I did have a little bit of an issue with the Cam Bolts. The holes for them are either a little small or just right and I'm not good at placing them. Either way, they kept skewing off one way or another, but with some fiddling, I was able to get them in their proper place. When you are ready to put pieces A, B, and D together, make sure you have the raw edges together. Also, be sure to pay attention to the drawings so that you know which way to turn things or which way to install something. When I got to the Drawer Members, it took some thought as to what the instructions were telling me about their placements. I have to admit that by the time I was ready to install the back panel (This is a black piece of paperboard construction. It's not made of wood, but it's required for the assembly of the unit), I wish I had a second pair of hands. It's difficult for one person to get the panel on square and then hammer down those tiny nails. But I managed and now I've got a beautiful modern looking nightstand for my bedroom! I like the grey color with the black pin legs. Really cool looking! It was kind of fun putting it together because I get the satisfaction of knowing that It's something I made myself.

Modern style nightstand

I received this Novogratz Nightstand in a box containing particle board pieces. All the other parts and pieces were in the same bag. It had several stickers that I had to work at a little to remove the residue. I would rate it at about a 4 on scale of 1-10 regarding how much of a hassle installation was. The color is a shiny matte gray. The knob and feet are metal. The drawer works well and is about 6" deep. It has a open shelf on bottom that can be used for books or place a basket in. It's a very cute ,functional, little nightstand.

CUTE LITTLE NIGHTSTAND

I really love this nightstand the color is so beautiful, it's a nice neutral that fits with any color scheme you have, and it has a fresh and funky retro vibe. It is very sturdy, well-made and not too heavy, but not so light it moves when you open the drawer. it was packed very tightly in a tiny box, the hardware however was just all thrown into on big bag and it was very hard to differentiate which screws were which and what went were. Some of the pieces were miss labeled as well, which lead to putting the nightstand together wrong and having to take it apart to redo it, which made the process very lengthy. Once the stand was correctly put together all components worked perfectly. I did notice some nicks and scratches on the wood when I pulled it out of packaging and the particle wood does chip very easily, and unfortunately the finish material scratches very easily too, so put it together carefully on carpet or a blanket so you don't cause scratches while assembling it. The drawer rolls smoothly, drawer has a decent capacity, and overall this is a very beautiful piece. It is so aesthetically pleasing despite the assembly issues, so it was worth the trouble. I definitely recommend it. 4 out of 5
