As an exclusive pumper for an eight month old baby boy, I can honestly say that pumping is not easy, yet sometimes it was even painful.  At the beginning of my pumping journey, I struggled with my supply and found pumping very uncomfortable.  After digging into the internet and seeking help from friends and family, I found the solution to my misery. It was the incorrect flange size!  Now that pumping was under control and did not cause any discomfort, I was surprisingly selected to test new baby products.  I received the Medela Flex Breast Shields from the weeSpring Parent Panel and they are simply amazing. After using them for more than a month, 7-8 times a day, I noticed a slight change in my milk output. I saw more milk flowing into the bottles in less time. As a working mom, anything that speeds up the process is highly beneficial. The shape of the Flex flanges is also different than the traditional breast shields which allows for a better suction and rotation while pumping. The rims of the flanges are very soft and help make pumping more comfortable. Overall, I love the product and recommend it to all my friends-moms. Soft and Comfortable!

I just went back to work after baby #2, so I thought I already knew everything about the best products for pumping. And by best, I mean they got the job done. (No one likes pumping anyway, right? I guess you could say I was comfortable being uncomfortable.) Fast forward a few weeks to when I got these flexible breastshields  to try from weeSpring. They looked the same as my other pump flanges, except these ones had a squishier rim. I popped the 27mm sucker on my boob and away we went. Felt the same. Milk output was the same. Everything felt the same. I figured it's just a breast shield, right? Wrong. Fast forward again to when I had a clogged milk duct. My boob felt like a giant bruise, and of course the only way to make it better (and the LAST thing I wanted to do) was to pump. Ugh. I turned the pump on to the lowest suction setting, and hesitantly put the shield over my nip awaiting a searing pain to ripple through my boob. Huh. It didn't hurt nearly as much as the usual hard plastic version. So ladies, if you ever get clogged ducts or think you might, go for the flexible rimmed version. Pump smarter, not harder. Your boobies will thank you.

Gentler on clogged ducts

These personal fit shields were incredibly comfortable to pump with. The curved oval shape and flexible soft rim around made the fit perfect. It fits and molds to your breast. It even lets you change the angle of the shield. I felt like the suction was a lot stronger than using the standard shields.I felt like I had a more powerful and faster let down, but not necessarily more milk. I'm glad these are made out of natural material than harmful BPA products. I think I will be purchasing more of these personal fit shields. Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this Breast Pump Flange Set.

More comfortable pumping experience

I was given this Breast Pump Flange Set to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. I love these. Have you ever reached for something while pumping both breasts at the same time? You kind of have to squish the flanges up against your breast with your arms. With the original flanges, pressing the stiff edges onto my breasts kind of felt almost sharp and I would lose suction, might as well have set one or both down. Well, with the new flexible edges, it’s more likely to continue suction and is a lot more comfortable to squish against me. This is much more comfortable in general and it’s nice the chemicals used to make these won’t harm the milk I’m giving to my baby (or my breasts). I’m glad I got to try these!

A very practical upgrade

I was given this Breast Pump Flange Set to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel and what a difference they have made. The first thing I noticed right away was the soft silicone rim not pinching my breast like the hard plastic flanges did. With these flanges I am able to pump more comfortably and express my milk in a shorter amount of time. I plan on pumping more often when I return to work and will be ditching all my hard plastic flanges.  Bonus: They come in four sizes so everyone can find their perfect fit which is a plus. Comfortable and painless

Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with Medela Flex Breast Shields to try. These shields were more comfortable than the standard shields that shipped with my breast pump and I am a huge fan of the thoughtful construction without the use of BPA, latex, or phthalates. The overall size of the shield is also a bit more compact. I have been working hard to get milk for my baby and I don't want it contaminated on the way to his precious lips! The shield came with a helpful sizing guide, requiring only a ruler or measuring tape, and I found it to be very accurate for my body. I appreciated how the soft, white rim of the shield felt against my skin especially compared to the rigid plastic I have been accustomed to using. Though I did not see any significant change in the speed expressing or the amount of milk expressed, I felt more comfortable during the process, and I'll take a bit more comfort during this particular chore any day! I can give the shield five stars, even when pumping is, to me, a solid two. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Making Pumping a Bit More Comfortable

The Medela Flex Breast Shield are great!  I find them to be a lot more comfortable than the traditional shield.  The oval shape allows them to sit nicely on the breast and the soft rubber rim helps create a seal that makes it easy to pump.  The shields don’t dig into the skin, like the traditional hard plastic shields, so they don’t leave any marks.  They come in a variety of sizes.  I was able to use the same size shield as the traditional plastic shield, 27mm.

I've noticed a slight increase in milk output when I use the flex shields (I track output in an app)!  Any little bit helps if you're not a big producer like me.  I’ve also noticed that my milk letdown is slightly faster when I use these shields.  Most importantly, I've been able to use them with my hands free pumping bra, a must for busy mom's! Came on time! Love that! Used them right away and truly has been big difference of getting more breast milk! Don't feel so sore nipples after pumping!

Really nice product!

I was given this Breast Pump Flange Set to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. Overall I had a good experience with these new Medela Flex Breast Shields. They worked perfectly with the Medela pump I already owned. These breast shields were definitely more comfortable that the standard ones, thanks to the soft, flexible rim around the outer edge. They come in a wide variety of sizes and it was easy to measure and make sure I had the right size. As an added bonus, it is nice to know that these shields are BPA free! Unfortunately I didn’t notice any difference in the amount of milk I was able to pump and I was hoping I would.  Overall, though, this was a nice improvement and definitely made my usual pumping routine more comfortable!
