I bought this center island a year or more ago. I also paid a ton of money for it plus 4 bar chairs to match. I love the island. It has held up very well with the exception of some hardware on one side which holds up the side of the island, it just feels loose. I am sure some new wood screws will fix the issue however that being said it is super sturdy, looks fantastic, has lots of storage for food or kitchen towels or some pots and pans. It also has little shelves on both ends for small books, towels, pot holders or décor. I built it but it did take a while and I wished I had a guy to help but I did get it together after an hour or two. It is a heavy piece but light enough to scoot over to clean underneath it. It has held up well to lots of family use, it is the center of everything we do at home.

Hello My wife and I read the posted reviews before placing our order. Turns out we have been significantly impressed. Shipped immediately, received in 4 days, 5 pieces undamaged with great packaging. The fedex driver took great effort to place our box's where they would not get wet. Not to worry though, pieces were packed in super heavy gauge box's Assembly was reasonably easy if you took your time. We do recommend two people working together to take the weight off and line up the holes. After all was said and done, it is a nice product for the money. Quality is pretty good, every package of fasteners came with one extra in case you loose one. We are happy with purchase. We did'nt expect a $3000. Island. What we did expect was to get what we paid for, and I think we got at least that.

Love this in my kitchen!

First the bad: One of the drawers was broken into 2 pieces, one of the corners on the oak top was scuffed/scratched up , and one of the edges on the shelf divider was scuffed up.  I was able to fix/hide these things, but buyer beware. I do like the design and the look of it.

What I expected, mostly...

This island looks great and is exactly what I was looking for! Instructions were easy to follow and I put it together alone. I am a 42 year old woman whose BF was not around to help and it took me a few hours (about 3 or so for the island, minutes per chair). The top was super heavy so that was difficult to do solo, but I managed using a bit of physics and a lot of energy! Chairs are more comfy than you'd guess for wooden chairs. My only complaints are that the paint along the base was chipped at the seams along the whole thing (see picture, super irritataing!), there was a 6 in crack in one of the 4 "pillars" that serve as a the support (though it didn't go all the way through so shouldn't compromise the stability), and the leaf doesn't seem as though it can be leaned on with any weight/force (e.g. pushing against it to stand up or leaning on it too much while using a computer). Feels like that might cause it to break.  Additionally, the back panel where you sit is quite flimsy. If you had kids sitting at it swinging their feet it might easily break. I called the company and left a message asking about sending touch up paint for the chips, but didn't hear back. May try an email next. The island comes in 3 boxes and the chairs each in a separate box (5 total) so it's a significant delivery and I had to be home for the FedEx guy to deliver it to my apt building. All in all I'm quite pleased! I can only add 2 pics so sorry I can't do all angles.

All in all I'm quite pleased w this island!

Some of the parts did not go together as we expected them to.  One of the doors does not close correctly so we will have to fix that (rather than return).  Otherwise, we are satisfied with our purchase.  Assembly was okay except some of the parts were extremely heavy but nothing you can do about that.  Quality is good for the price.

We received what we expected

Poor quality control. Top wias shipped damaged it did not happen in transit. Wrong legs for one of the bar stools. Try to contact customer service all you get is a recording. Don't waste your time and money purchasing this product.

Poor quality control

I am absolutely astonished that this product sells.  I purchased this island and when putting it together, noticed there were multiple holes in the top as well as the chair seats.  I called the manufacturer thinking that they were missed by their Quality Team, only to be told that they are normal, as they are part of their stress testing of the wood.  I again told her there are HOLES in the wood, and she restated that this is ""normal"".  How can a product that you pay over $800.00 for have multiple areas with holes in it be Normal?  I was told they will not replace the parts, but I can return the product for a refund, which i promptly did.  So, thinking she must have been wrong, I ordered it a second time... NOPE... EXACT SAME THING... Multiple areas with HOLES...  At least this time I opened it at the store, and returned it right there!  I do not know how anyone can buy this product.  P.S.  Overall score is a ZERO!!!
