Great Product

I was impressed at the quality of the Ginsu Essential Series 14-Cutlery Set with Black Block! I purchase 2 sets, one for me and one for my sister as a house warming gift. She also loves them, too!

Brought 2 sets, one for my sister and one for me

I bought this same set of knives years earlier and was very happy with the sharpness and durability. They hold up well to a family of 4 and repeated uses in the dishwasher. However, some of the knives seem to have "walked away", which required me to purchase another new set. I am very pleased with these knives. They are sharp. Be careful, I've already sliced my hand with this sharp knife. They are beautiful, and decorative to leave on the counter-top as well.

I like this cutlery set, it's a bright red, and the handle are wood not plastic. I like that the wood block is black. This is a nice knife set for the money. I would recommend this set for anyone who wants a quality knife set.

These knives match my red kitchen décor well. they are also very sharp - work great. I have not used all of the knives yet, but so far so good. They are very pretty and make a nice addition to my kitchen counter.

Style and Sharpness
Colors look amazing, handles do feel a little cheap but seems like they'll hold up for a long time. Blades are extremely sharp, yet to use any of them, but I'm already very satisfied with how it seems they'll handle.

First Knife Set

Not what I expected! From the reviews I see what everyone is talking about. First it is hard plastic handle some said “wood” NO! Second Cut ok like any new set. Third..the scissors and block are THE ONLY THING THATS HIGH or of good quality. The scissors are a whole different color (slightly darker) as if it belong with a more high quality set of knives NOT THESE. The chefs knife steel is not balanced (more weight) with the low quality handle. Price should be the same as probably when they came out $19.99. It's best to invest in a good quality knife set if you stay in kitchen a lot like I do but they will work for now.

Get what you pay for

The knives were super sharp, and performed amazingly! What knocked my rating down considerably,  is the fact that they claim to be dishwasher safe, but after 2 washes in the dishwasher, they are already developing rust spots. This is incredibly discouraging, as otherwise, they are wonderful knives!!

Not an anticipated issue..
