    Customer Product Reviews

    Rated 4.4 out of 5★ by 1215reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Used this before and bought it again! About 5 years ago i lived with a roommate who was never home.. so i was alone a lot.. and after graduating high school, i was at my heaviest 275. i was not happy with myself, i saw online about the gazelle edge, and the great price, i set it up and hopped on. i started eating smaller meals more times a day, and spent 30 minutes to an hour depending on how i felt, and a year later, i dropped 110 lbs. after moving out of that house, i had to get rid of the machine. 5 years later i got some gift cards for Xmas and decided to get this machine again so my family can set it up in front of the TV and just fast walk or run. seems like I'm the only one using it, oh well! its been 9 days now, and i keep track of the miles, minutes and calories, so i know what pace to keep up with. i noticed after 9 days my stomach is slimming down, and my legs are becoming less chunky. which is always a good feeling. but everyday 6x a day i work out 30 minutes. i set it up in my room, and watch the food network and by the time the show is over, so is my workout! i love this thing, and i recommend it to everyone. my little sister runs 2 miles everyday, and i cant do that with my knees, but i do 2 miles everyday perfectly fine on here at a fast pace. even breaking a sweat! works great if its raining, just come home, hop on for half an hour and trust me, a little goes a long way! 01/20/2010
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Good Product I bought this machine about 3.5 years ago. Right before I got pregant I dropped 2 dress sizes in 2.5 months. After I had my baby, I was determined to lose the 35 pounds I picked up with my pregancy plus an additional 30, and decided to join a local gym thinking I'd get a better workout. After about a month of working hard at the gym, I noticed I wasn't seeing the results I did when I began using he gazelle. I thought it was that tough baby weight every woman who's had a baby talks about. I didn't have any more time I could spare to go to the gym with a newborn, so my husband encouraged me to try the gazelle again. Needless to say that was the best decision I made. Not only was I able to lose the weight I wanted to (plus an additional 5 lbs), I was able to work out more frequently, and I'm able to maintain my weight without leaving my home. This machine helped me lose weight and tone at the same time. And best of all... IT'S QUIET!!!The materials used for this machine are good materials, because I've used this machine the entire time I've had it (give or take 12 months) and it works as good as the day I bought it.This was an awesome buy!!! 12/28/2009
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Great for beginner strengthening I purposefully chose this without resistance to begin regaining my stamina and to assist my son with cerebral palsy (17) the opportunity to move his legs and also have something to hold onto since his balance control is an issue. I love to use it and watch TV at the same time. I will definitely need to upgrade to resistence after I have built my satmina to keep moving. Very sturdy and well built. Can be put away for storage. I recommend this product for seniors or someone who needs to move without a lot of muscle building needed. 12/19/2007
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Great Workout I bought the Gazelle a few months ago and I think it's great. I get the cardo I need without the broken knees and sore feet from jogging or walking. Both are great but not for me. The Gazelle is a step just below an eliptical but still does the job. Just doesn't break my bank account like an eliptical would. I incorrporate the Gazelle cardio with my lifting routine by doing 5 minutes on it to get my heart rate up, then do a lifting set of some targeted area like biceps, then jump back on the Gazelle for another minute, do a lift set, and so on. I find myself working out harded and getting more out of both my muscle training and cardio at the same time. I up to doing 3 miles in 31 minutes now because I am going so much faster each minute to minute and a half to keep my heart rate up. When you do a straight 30 min cardio, you tend to slow down half way in and not even realize it. Mostly because you are bored. The Gazelle is perfect for my new weight training and cardio plan that I do because it's so easy to use and getting on an off isn't tricky like the eliptcal can be. Great machine, great price, great workout. Easy to assemble too. Some reviews say it was hard. If you can use a screw driver and an allen wrench then you should be able to do this. Get it. It's great. Easy to store too. 08/30/2009
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Worth Every Penny! :) My Dad got one of these for our family at Christmas when I still lived at home. It was a wonderful product. It is very easy to set up and use. I would set it up in the living room and use it during my favorite shows. It makes the time fly by. I love walking but I am 5'3 and 217 and I would get the worst pain in my ankles and calves. I used this machine and its smooth as air. You get a nice workout and it shows how far in miles and calories burned. I watched what I ate and would use this for a hour a day. I lost about 20 pounds in a month. Since then I have moved away and married. I am a college student and from stess and school have gained the weight back. It really takes motivation for me to get up and out. This product makes it so easy to workout and not have to pay for a gym or leave your home. Im 25 and can really feel the extra weight. I got my stimulus check and now have the extra money to get my very own. I cannot wait till it gets here. This one is out of stock so I splurged and got the other one. Im really looking forward to getting healthier. Note: It does come with a video but I never used it at my Dads. I would just start our slow and then push harder then slow down with a cool off. There is a little squeak sometimes but easy to ignore. 05/04/2008
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Great for bad knees This is the 2nd Gazelle I've owned. I had gastric bypass surgery. Prior to surgery the doctor wanted me to lose 10% of my weight. I already had two knee surgeries, so walking didn't work for me. This machine does the trick. It's sort of like a glider. Very gentle on the joints. I had my surgery & lost my weight, so I got rid of my old machine at a garage sale. What a mistake! Although my knees are now doing very well with the weight gone, I really miss my Gazelle. Well 3 years after my surgery I bought another one. It folds up to save space. I don't have to worry about the weather conditions when I exercise any more. Watching tv while a work out makes the time go by fast. There's plenty of different exercises to do that work inner & outer thighs, chest & arms too. I love this machine & highly recommend it. 06/04/2009
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Great non impact exerciser Pros:Before purchasing the Gazelle Edge Trainer at Wal-Mart, I looked at reviews online. I then ordered it from Wal-Mart because of the low price. It was delivered on time and I put it together by myself (58 yr old female). Took a little time but no problems-instructions were good. I have arthritis in both knees so I need to do NO impact exercise. I have had this machine 4 weeks now and it is very enjoyable. I watch TV while using it. I start slow, work up to a longer stride, then do the advanced upper body workout as the booklet (included) instructs. You do not feel as if you are getting overworked, but do know how long you want to work out and do not go longer. After you stop, your legs, hips, glutes definitely feel they have had a workout without the pounding of running. A great value for the money. It is a quiet machine also. All in all, I am totally satisfied.Con: No way to add resistance except by leaning forward or backward/where you place your hands on the handlebars.I bought this because of arthritis and not being able to exercise much. I also have very tight muscles and I was very impressed at how the Gazelle Edge was good at stretching muscles. So far, I am very pleased. 11/03/2009
Rated 4 out of 5★ by Gazelle Edge Trainer I'm 5'4 was 150 lbs. I started using this March 4th for about an hour every other day & counting calories staying around 1200-1400 per day. It is now March 19th & I weigh 139 lbs. The Gazelle is not hard to use. I barely sweat at the end of an hour but I've read that this type of equipment is used to get your heart rate up & also supposed to be easier on the joints than other machines. It's kinda fun, make sure you wear shoes you'd normally walk in or it will hurt your feet & I'm not too sure about the accuracy of the calorie counter on it. It says after an hour on it @ a speed of about 1 mile per hour you've burned around 700 calories which seems like a lot to me since its so easy to do but if it's correct great! I'd recommend it. It's easy, fun, I can feel the burn in my arms & calves when I'm done & in 14 days of use I've lost 11 pounds so that's a plus! My only complaint which isn't terrible is that there's a cover on the ends that had a stripped screw so one of the end covers came off & after 2 weeks of use it is a little squeaky now but it's possible if I used some wd40 or something on it that would stop? The manual gives you tips on how to fix things like that I just haven't done it yet. It does only work your lower body & your arms a little so if you can it would be a good idea to add other exercises to your routine if you want to tone other areas but for someone like me who hadn't exercised in forever this is a good place to start & some exercise is better than none. It's also a little larger than I expected & does fold if you want to put it in a laundry room or shed but doesn't fold flat enough to slide under a bed which is what I was hoping for. The Gazelle will also get you plenty of attention if you have someone living with you. I can't be on it 5 minutes without the whole family stopping by to make fun of me on it. It just looks silly, especially if you try to lean forward or back like the booklet suggests. That's okay though, we'll see who's laughing when I'm all toned and sexy. Haha! 03/19/2011
