About 5 years ago i lived with a roommate who was never home.. so i was alone a lot.. and after graduating high school, i was at my heaviest 275. i was not happy with myself, i saw online about the gazelle edge, and the great price, i set it up and hopped on. i started eating smaller meals more times a day, and spent 30 minutes to an hour depending on how i felt, and a year later, i dropped 110 lbs. after moving out of that house, i had to get rid of the machine. 5 years later i got some gift cards for Xmas and decided to get this machine again so my family can set it up in front of the TV and just fast walk or run. seems like I'm the only one using it, oh well! its been 9 days now, and i keep track of the miles, minutes and calories, so i know what pace to keep up with. i noticed after 9 days my stomach is slimming down, and my legs are becoming less chunky. which is always a good feeling. but everyday 6x a day i work out 30 minutes. i set it up in my room, and watch the food network and by the time the show is over, so is my workout! i love this thing, and i recommend it to everyone. my little sister runs 2 miles everyday, and i cant do that with my knees, but i do 2 miles everyday perfectly fine on here at a fast pace. even breaking a sweat! works great if its raining, just come home, hop on for half an hour and trust me, a little goes a long way!

I bought this machine about 3.5 years ago. Right before I got pregant I dropped 2 dress sizes in 2.5 months. After I had my baby, I was determined to lose the 35 pounds I picked up with my pregancy plus an additional 30, and decided to join a local gym thinking I'd get a better workout. After about a month of working hard at the gym, I noticed I wasn't seeing the results I did when I began using he gazelle. I thought it was that tough baby weight every woman who's had a baby talks about. I didn't have any more time I could spare to go to the gym with a newborn, so my husband encouraged me to try the gazelle again. Needless to say that was the best decision I made. Not only was I able to lose the weight I wanted to (plus an additional 5 lbs), I was able to work out more frequently, and I'm able to maintain my weight without leaving my home. This machine helped me lose weight and tone at the same time. And best of all... IT'S QUIET!!! The materials used for this machine are good materials, because I've used this machine the entire time I've had it (give or take 12 months) and it works as good as the day I bought it. This was an awesome buy!!!

I purposefully chose this without resistance to begin regaining my stamina and to assist my son with cerebral palsy (17) the opportunity to move his legs and also have something to hold onto since his balance control is an issue. I love to use it and watch TV at the same time. I will definitely need to upgrade to resistence after I have built my satmina to keep moving. Very sturdy and well built. Can be put away for storage. I recommend this product for seniors or someone who needs to move without a lot of muscle building needed.

    • You do not have to disassemble the Gazelle. It folds up compactly and the legs even lock.

    • Yes you just bend in the peddles and fold it up great for small spaces!

    • It folds up and is portable but kind of tricky to handle. With practice, I'm sure I will find the easiest way to move it around. I'm thinking those 'furniture mover' thing-ees will help a lot!

    • not really, it isn't a fold & go machine

    • It folds up quite easily for storage and can be moved that way, without disassembling. It is a bit heavy, so it depends on your size and strength how easy you will find this to do.

    • It's heavy! It is portable and can be moved from one place to another without being disassembled BUT it is heavy. I've moved mine a few times, it's part of a whole body workout when I do move it :)

    • It was puzzling - the main bar has these black caps pushed very tightly into each side (not mentioned in the instructions) but the thing wont go together until you get them out. I got one to pop out, and used pliers on the other.

    • Fairly easy. Takes 2 really to put it together simply because the axle bar ends need to be tightened at the same time and you tighten in the opposite direction of each other, as I'm sure you'll see what I mean. Took about 30 minutes the most.
