yes made of solid wood but very junky. I took mine right back to the store.

It appears to be solid wood except for the bottom of the drawer which is made of a heavy cardboard material.....wood is nice....finish on it is horrible!

For the most part yes. It is a very soft wood, like pine. The drawer bottom is like press board material. Don't expect to put a lot of weight inside.

Well I just bought this table and yes, it is all solid wood. My stepdad's a construction worker (who put it together haha) and was actually impressed with the quality and the solid wood.
The only part not made of solid wood would be the inside of the drawer (the bottom of the drawer is a white vinyl-ish plastic, probably for ease of cleaning)

The top surface, bottom shelf piece, and the front of the drawer are all solid wood. Several other of the pieces are also one solid piece of wood. I wasn't so sure about some pieces, like the sides of the drawer. But, the main pieces seem to be solid wood, and it is very sturdy once complete.

No it&#39;s not. It can be hard to tell because mdf is as heavy (a lil heavier) as solid wood.
I banged the top and was gonna sand it smooth and refinish it.That&#39;s when I found it to be mdf.
I have made things with real wood and mdf as well.I sure know the difference when I see it unpainted/stained.So the top is mdf,my guess is legs and knob are real wood , the rest um..no.

No, not all the pieces are solid wood. The main pieces- top, lower shelve, drawer are not solid wood. The legs might be as it feels different to the touch and the 2 Apron pieces that get screwed on the bottom into the top look like wood. The rest are a good copy of MDF. All the pieces look very nice, just like real wood. I got the dark walnut and I am very pleased with the color. Unfortunately when you go to screw in the 2 Apron pieces into the bottom of the top the screws keep spinning without tightening. I tried both table tops and I had the same issue. I guess because of the top being MDF the screws are not grabbing into the predrilled holes. In my opinion this is the most important part since we all pick up and move the tables from the top. Over time this would get really loose and definitely would come off. The predrilled holes should have those special bolts in to hold and lock together when the screws go in. I&#39;m not a carpenter but I assembled lots of furniture pieces for my house.

The walnut looks more like a dark cherry. Definitely not as dark as an espresso. Hope that helps.

Our bed frame is Expresso...closer to black. These nightstands are very close to the expresso color. We never notice a difference. I will say that our bedroom lighting isn't very bright though...so that may be why we can't notice the color difference.

All of my wood is espresso colored. These tables are a little lighter, with a hint of red, but still look good with all of the dark wood. Especially for the price!

I bought 2 of the Dark Walnut tables and the color is exactly like the picture. Its beautiful color and looks exactly like the walnut color. Unfortunately its not real wood and I had issues putting it together where the screws would keep spinning and not get tight.

This is real wood. It is not the best paint job ever, but could easily be repainted as it is real wood. I was very impressed. As a mom of boys that are rough on EVERYTHING, I feel this will stand up to even their use. I have shopped endlessly for real wood products and not pressed wood. It is so hard to find.

It is like press wood. Mine is not damaged, but I don't put cups on it without coasters because I assume the water would damage it. Also, the catch to hold the drawer in is delicate wood, so it could break if the drawers were pulled on too hard.

Beechwood is genuine solid wood from a tree, nothing like press-wood. I think the finish of this is pretty durable, probably more durable than press-wood furniture would be.

This is solid wood. I have had compressed wood furniture before, and this is not, it is real. I'm sure it is like every piece of furniture on the durability of this getting scratched. I just keep a black placemat thing on top of table so I can avoid all of that.

Beechwood comes from Beech trees. So it is not like fiberboard, its solid wood.

No, the wood surfaces are fairly soft and will easily scratch. However, given the price, you should consider this table as disposible furniture.

This nightstand/end table seem to be very durable very well built. I dont think they would scratch easy but like anything else im sure they can scratch

The tables are solid wood and the finish is nice, but it will chip, nick and scratch like any solid wood finish. The nice thing is you can fix it with a little sanding and staining unlike particle board tables.

I would not call the finish "durable." With a coating of polyurethane, that comment would be reversed. The table's composition seems to be far sturdier than pressed wood, so if it is that, it has been greatly improved since first introduced.
