i love this stove ,its very handy and compact .perfect for camping etc

I've been shopping around for this hobo stove set for quite a while. I honestly didn't think Walmart would have it but, they did, and for ten dollars less than the online place you'd normally buy something like this…or anything else lol

After the first use, I can say Iím impressed with this cute little thing.Used it for the first time last night. Worked great. Cooked my dinner on it and it held up just fine. It did drastically change color, which I was expecting to some extent, but the entire item turned into a faded copper color. Iím not complaining, it is actually quite beautiful. It had a good bed of coals in it for 30-40 minutes and thereís no warping at all, just a little fatwood char.Itís light, and the two pieces fit nicely inside one another both when youíre using it and when you are storing it. When stored it has room to nestle my fire starting gear inside, and pack in the bottom of my pack. It is slightly bulky, but for the sturdiness you get with it, Iíll take the trade off. I have an Uberleben fire stove for ultralight packing.It is strong, and it never felt like it wasnít sturdy while I was cooking on it. I used my 8î campfire skillet and it held it just fine. I used my ìsurprisingly heavy for a compact skilletî Stanley campfire skillet just FYI.Overall, I look forward to using it while Iím camping in a couple of months. Will update my review if necessary.

Love this hobo stove! My first cooking experience was blackened whitefish in a large cast iron pan. Fantastic! The little stove got plenty hot, was easy to control the temperature and heated evenly. There was a small problem with the order on delivery, but they took care of it immediately. Great service as well! Very pleased.

This is my second attempt at reviewing this product. The stove is an ideal size for backpacking campers, it is sturdy, light weight and its intelligent design permits cooking food with a minimum of readily scavenged fuel (small sticks, twigs etc). . In addition it is very safe for use, by younger Boy Scouts, since they will be cooking over a fully contained heat source instead of an open fire. I have given one of these units to each of my grandkids and they have used them twice in two months for their camping trips. They really like being able to use a small skillet to cook eggs and sausages for breakfast as well as other foods during the day. Easily set up, easily stored and transported.

Like that the Kelly Kettle Hobo Stove comes in a kit. Makes camp cooking fun and easy. Easy to pack in; no fuel to bring and just as easy to pack up. Thanks, Kelly Kettle; great job!

works ok you need to make sure the fuel you collect is dry. The fire can be sooty. If its rainy and damp keep plastic bags handy for dry kindling otherwise you'll need a propane or isobutane stove.
