Excellent replacement - Xfinity owned data/voice
This is the only combined data/voice modem/router approved by Xfinity. It works great! I wish I could say the same about Comcast/Xfinity customer service. Spent most of the evening online chat and over their stupid voice automated system trying to get the MT8733 provisioned and the Xfinity owned data/voice modem removed. Finally got Jim, a live person, on the line and he was amazing! Why doesn't Comcast just make these great people available from the start?

Works well, but the Wifi speeds are slower
I got this modem/router for a new home, so that I wouldn't have to pay for the Xfinity one every month. It was easy to set up and seems to work well so far. The one issue that I found was that the Wifi isn't as fast as with the Xfinity modem. The internet plan that I have gives me up to 2 Gbps. When I did a speed test with the Xfinity modem, I was getting right around 1 Gpbs. When I installed the Motorola modem, I am getting about 700 Mbps. Other than that, it seems to work just fine, and it will pay for itself in a couple of years.
