The product is easily identifiable by its white color and the mustard yellow liner. Since a PVC film carrier/backing the tape is not hand tearable and would require scissors to cut.
  • tesa 4970 has an excellent combination of high-tack and immediate adhesion for a quick and easy application process. In addition, the tape has a high coating weight for good bonding performance on rough or dusty surfaces for a wide range of projects.
  • This tape is ideal for long-term bonding applications and useful for mounting and bonding applications in all types of industries. tesa 4970 Double Sided White PVC Tape features good resistance to chemicals and is suitable for the bonding of PVC materials due to a good softener resistance. This tape has excellent resistance to aging (UV) and humidity, making it an ideal choice for challenging environments.
  • Applications for tesa 4970 Double Sided White PVC Tape include mounting and bonding of plastic and wooden trims, decorative point of sale (POS) materials and displays, signs, and scales, and products in the appliance industry. Please Note: You may receive a roll with the original paper liner that is more yellow in color, or the new sustainable liner that is tan in color.
  • Carrier/Backing: polyvinyl chloride (PVC) film. Adhesive: tackified acrylic. Release Liner: brown color, glassine. Thickness: 11.7 mils (carrier, adhesive, liner) 8.9 mils (carrier, adhesive) 2.8 mils (liner). Adhesion: 110 ounces per inch (to stainless steel test panel). Tensile Strength: 124 pounds per inch (longitudinal). Elongation: 20%. Temperature Resistance Short-Term: 158F. Temperature Resistance Long-Term: 140F. Country of Origin: Germany.
