My go-to breakfast with a cup of coffee. The icing is a bit sweet and I only use half a pack on each strudel, which is plenty. I'm not a bacon and eggs in the morning person. I've always liked something on the sweet side, and these are perfect. Since I'm by myself, I've even had them for supper with a glass of milk. Good stuff!

Rather have my family eat these, pop tarts. I have nothing against pop tarts. They're easy to throw in a toaster and out the door. They can take them with them, but to me these are better for just a simple good breakfast option or a snack with a glass of milk. Who doesn't like strawberries and cream I even like them and I try not to eat a lot of sugar.

Pillsbury Home run!

I bought these expecting them to be basically the same as the regular strawberry version with a little cream cheese mixed in. I was wrong. Somehow, through what I can only assume was a series of highly classified breakfast experiments, Pillsbury managed to improve on the original. The cream cheese takes the edge off the sweetness just enough to make the whole thing disappear faster than intended. The process is still the same. Toast pastry. Ignore the fact that it's approximately the temperature of molten lava. Burn your mouth because you got impatient. Repeat tomorrow. Then comes the frosting packet. For reasons known only to Pillsbury, they hand part of the breakfast preparation over to you. Suddenly you're standing in your kitchen carefully frosting a toaster pastry like you're restoring a priceless Renaissance painting. Every stripe matters. Every corner must be covered. This is no longer breakfast. This is a mission. The strawberry filling is excellent, the cream cheese adds just the right amount of richness, and the frosting ties everything together. The result tastes more like something from a bakery than something that came out of a toaster. My only complaint is that the box contains fewer pastries than I seem to remember after I start eating them. Five stars. I liked the regular strawberry version. These are somehow even better.
