Product details
A built-in fan on the Model 700M power humidifier pulls heat directly from the furnace. The Model 700M is the highest capacity AprilAire Evaporative Humidifier. Easy to install, it’s the best choice for systems with low or variable speed air handlers. A manual humidistat is provided with all 700M models; for applications where an automatic control is not practical. AprilAire introduced the first evaporative humidifier for forced air furnace systems back in 1954. Since that time, AprilAire continues to lead the industry in whole home humidification systems. Our evaporative humidifiers work by piping water into the distribution tray located at the top of the humidifier. The water is uniformly distributed across the width of the tray and through a scientifically designed system of outlets. It flows by gravity over the Water Panel evaporator. Dry, hot air from the HVAC system is moved through the moisture-laden Water Panel evaporator. Natural evaporation takes place, the water is turned to vapor, and the humidified air is circulated throughout the home. INCLUDED IN THE BOX: Installation instructions and template, humidifier with built-in fan, 24 VAC transformer, manual humidifier control with sensor, saddle valve, solenoid valve, and Model # 35 Water Panel

An excellent and dependable central humidifier
I replaced a 25-year-old style 760 with this new 700 and it was a perfect fit, even using the same mask/frame to I didn't need to cut in a new installation. ONE CAVEAT: The flow restrictor in the 760 had a much higher rate (the blue one) and the 700 requires the yellow one. If it seems there is too much outflow water, check with AprilAire about the proper size restrictor for your unit. It's a tiny little plastic plug inserted into the outflow tubing from the solenoid and they come in red, blue, and yellow.
