water to rice ratio is not accurate. You have to use more water than it states (extra cup to amt of water suggeated). Plus, it takes a long time to cook (45 minutes). My old rice cooker takes half the time, but it still cooks it well, as long as you use the extra water. Still a good rice cooker!

It is easier than the manual saucepan method (start it and leave, come back and eat) and basically does what it is meant to do, automatically, with a minimum of prep and no fuss. We have been enjoying having rice more often. Have only tried the white rice program. No luck with recipes calling for ingredients other than rice and water.
