Hello, Thank you for your review! While our bags are sealed air tight, it is not uncommon for there appear to be air in some cases. After being roasted, coffee beans produce natural gases. These gases can be released through the one-way air valve, but not always. If you squeeze the bag, those gases (and a wonderful coffee aroma) will come out, but no air is allowed in. Smooth with no bitterness

I love coffee. I do add cream, mainly oat sometimes a splash of half and half, both enhance the flavor without leaving a bitter note on the palate. The caffeine is also just right, not enough to make me feel jittery or bring on a head ache. Great balanced blend.
