These are great. At first I was upset bc I thought my husband and nephew wouldn't fit into them, but the armrests stay down. The way you get them to stay flush with the chair is to place the chair unfolded flat on the floor. Then you push really hard on the joint of the chair at the armrest and it pops down. Then being up the chair into an L shape and the arms stay down.
