I am very impressed by the quality of this monitor. As with everything the case and stand are not the quality of older units but the colors are vibrant and the sound is fine. Not sure why other reviews say that it is bad. It is just as good as any other inexpensive monitors out there. If you need more sound buy a computer sound system! LOL
