Plaque Attack Gel with Salmon Oil
Key item features
- Plaque Attack comes in two versions- spray and gel. Both have the same list of active ingredients and deliver the same beautiful results. While most pets get used to the spray easily, some pets fight and don’t want the sound near them. This may cause stress for your pet if they are sensitive. Gel Plaque Attack does not have the spraying sound that some pets find offensive. Simply put some on your finger, cotton swab or cotton tipped applicator and swipe in the front of their mouth. For extremely bad teeth, you can apply directly to the problem areas as opposed to the front of their mouth. Instructions: Simply spray or swipe into your pets mouth. It is important to let Plaque Attack dwell on your pet’s teeth- so no food or water for 15-30 minutes after you apply Plaque Attack. After feeding (morning and or night) or before bedtime works very well.
- At VetsRef, we believe that nature is not only beautiful, but wise. Millions of years of time has made the earth what it is today. This may be one reason why pharmaceutical companies use microbes and plants as sources to discover new drugs and treatments. It should not be surprising that around 75% of approved antibiotics and around 50% of all currently available FDA approved drugs are derived directly or indirectly from natural products. VetsRef uses Essential Oils and other natural products to help solve your pets problems. Our ingredients are human grade and our products are so good that we use them ourselves! Why Choose Products with Essential Oils? Essential oils generally have health and therapeutic benefits like that of their “parent” plant. These oils also are rich in nutrients, have beneficial health qualities which may include antibacterial, antiparasitic, antiviral, and antiseptic qualities. Synthetic oils simply offer a pleasant scent, but rarely, if ever, have the qualities of a good, natural essential oil. Why Use Essential Oils? Societies and cultures for thousands of years have used plant-based holistic remedies which include essential oils. We believe that those years of use and empirical (versus lab trial related) results are a fair representation of what one can expect if the plant or essential oils are used. Essential oils are composed of molecules small enough so they can penetrate cells as compared to fatty oils (like those in vegetables or nuts) which have large molecules that cannot penetrate cells. Cell penetration is useful, if not necessary, to have any potential therapeutic benefits. Fewer Side Effects: Natural remedies are often perceived as having fewer side effects compared to pharmaceutical drugs, which can sometimes cause adverse reactions or interactions with other medications. Holistic Approach: Natural remedies often take a holistic approach to health, addressing not just symptoms but also believed to address imbalances in the body which may not be fully understood. Prevention: Many natural remedies focus on supporting the body's natural healing mechanisms and boosting overall health, which may help prevent illnesses and promote longevity. Why Natural Oils Cost More Than Synthetic Essential oils are made from natural, pesticide-free ingredients in order to distill the purest product for maximum health benefits. Essential Oils are generally more concentrated than synthetic oils. Essential Oils contain the majority of the ingredients found in nature (excluding things like fiber) whereas synthetic oils frequently contain oils not associated with the plant itself in addition to the limited number of synthetic “active” ingredients in that synthetic oil. Essential Oils are like the underlying plants themselves, namely, all of the ingredients are hardly ever studied independently- so one will likely never find all of the real health benefits of Rosemary, for instance, but you can read about one active ingredient in rosemary- rosmanol, however, the remaining 400-500 phytochemicals and constituents including rosmarinic acid, carnosic acid, carnosol, rosmanol, camphor, camphene among others may not have the same “scientific” attention individually let alone together as found in Rosemary and Rosemary Essential Oil. It takes A LOT of plant material to make essential oils, examples include: 5 to 6 pounds of peppermint plant to produce 1 ounce of peppermint essential oil, 50 to 100 pounds of thyme plant to produce 1 pound of thyme essential oil, and 20 to 30 pounds of rosemary to produce 1 pound of rosemary essential oil. Essential oils are pure plant extracts made from a variety of plant materials, including flowers, leaves, stems, roots, resin and other parts of the plants. Essential oils are distilled into concentrated oils which do not contain fatty acids like most oils but they do contain rather volatile organic compounds which are generally accepted and believed to be potent and therapeutic. What is the Catch? Like anything highly concentrated, Essential Oils need to be used in very small amounts and may need to be added to other items (carrier oils, lotions, etc) to be used easily. Essential Oils can be dangerous if used wrong- which is the reason for VetsRef- we have veterinarian approved, doctor designed formulations that use just the right quantity of essential oils to maximize efficacy while removing or minimizing any risks.

Antimicrobial action: Several ingredients (grapefruit seed extract, peppermint oil, thyme oil, rosemary oil, and neem oil) have antimicrobial properties. This can help combat the bacteria that cause plaque formation, tooth decay, and bad breath. 2. Anti-inflammatory effects: Grape seed extract, rosemary oil, and neem oil have potential anti-inflammatory properties. This could be beneficial for gum health, potentially helping to reduce gingivitis or other gum inflammations. 3. Plaque reduction: The combination of antimicrobial agents may help prevent and reduce plaque formation on teeth. 4. Fresh breath: Peppermint oil, in particular, can help freshen breath while also providing antimicrobial benefits. 5. Antioxidant protection: Grape seed extract is rich in antioxidants, which may help protect the gums and other oral tissues from oxidative stress. 6. Natural approach: The use of natural, plant-based ingredients may appeal to consumers looking for alternatives to traditional chemical-based oral care products. Plaque Attack: How It Works Plaque Attack uses a unique blend of essential oils to combat dental issues in pets. Here's how it works: 1. Biofilm Disruption: - Essential oils in Plaque Attack disrupt the biofilm that forms on teeth. - This biofilm is the foundation for plaque and tartar buildup. 2. Plaque Softening: - The formula softens existing plaque, making it easier to dislodge during normal chewing activities. 3. Tartar Breakdown: - Over time, the consistent use of Plaque Attack helps break down tartar. - This process typically takes around 30 days, depending on the severity of the dental issue. 4. Antibacterial Action: - Many essential oils in the formula have natural antibacterial properties. - This helps combat the bacteria that cause bad breath and gum disease. 5. pH Balancing: - The formula helps maintain a healthy pH in the mouth. - This creates an environment less conducive to harmful bacterial growth. 6. Gum Health Support: - Anti-inflammatory properties of certain ingredients help support gum health. - This can help prevent gingivitis and more serious periodontal issues. 7. Fresh Breath: - Natural mint-based ingredients provide instant fresh breath. - Unlike simple breath fresheners, Plaque Attack addresses the root cause of bad breath. 8. Saliva Stimulation: - Some ingredients may help stimulate saliva production. - Increased saliva helps naturally clean the mouth and neutralize acids. - Clinically proven to remove tartar and prevent plaque build-up - Reduces bad breath and risk of periodontal disease - Easy to use: 1-2 sprays a day for instant results - All-natural ingredients, safe for dogs and cats - Veterinarian endorsed for essential periodontal care - Available in spray and gel forms for sensitive pets - Made in the USA - 100% money-back guarantee

The Gel is easy to put on your finger and swipe, but some owners don’t to touch their pets’ teeth. If your pet has specific dental needs, you can put a thicker layer on problem areas with the gel, but both work Some pet owners find it beneficial to have both on hand for different situations. Massage Application: - Can be combined with a gum massage for added benefit - Helps pet associate oral care with positive touch 5. Visible Application: - Easier to see where the product has been applied before saliva mixes around mouth 6. Thick Plaque/Tartar: - Can be left on problem areas longer for more intensive treatment 7. Combining with Brushing: - Can be applied to a toothbrush for traditional brushing- if you already brush 8. Post-Dental Procedure Care: - Precise application on areas that underwent dental work

Directions
Instructions
Simply put the correct amount on your finger or something flat and flexible and swipe in your pet's mouth twice daily for bad breath, teeth and gums. For cats, you may be able to swipe on one of their front paws and they will lick and get into mouth. Dosage is dependant on your pet's weight and is detailed on the label. For best results, your pet should not eat or drink for 15 or more minutes after application which gives the essential oils enough "dwell time" to be effective. In around 30 days (for "bad" mouths), you should see a noticible improvement. Once your pet's mouth and breath are better, you can only swipe once a day.
