This is one of the best purchases I've made in years. I love it! I have a wonderful dish washer that does a great job, and I still use it a lot. But I live alone and if I rinse dishes and put them in the dishwasher, it might be 2 weeks before they actually get washed. I found that I was constantly getting out an item that I needed and was hand washing it and drying it so that I could use it. Having dishes in the dish washer for a long time weighed on my mind. When I would walk past it, I would think to myself remember those dishes are dirty. And a few times people had gotten dirty dishes out and used them when I wasn't in the room. Yuck! When I have my big family over for dinner, we fill the dish washer. There are always more dirty dishes than will fit into the dishwasher, so we wash the extras and let them dry in the drainer. Also, when I'm cooking as big meal I like to wash the preparation dishes as I work. That way I don't have so many at the end to take care of. It is easy to wash a mixing bowl or a pot, and let them dry in the drainer. Then they can be put away before we even start to eat. Anyway, now if I just have 2-3 dishes, which is often when living alone, I quickly wash them and put them in my new drainer to dry. Later when I notice them, and they are dry, then I put them away. It has been so convenient and easy to use. I usually leave it out on my cupboard because it is also pretty, and it drains into my sink from there. It also fits nicely in my sink if I want it out of view. (If you are think of putting it inside your sink be sure to measure your sink first, it wouldn't fit into all sinks. ) It is really sturdy and well made. It doesn't scratch the counter top. I love the style and colour. I feel more organised when I can just have no dirty dishes anywhere to think about. This has been one of the best convenience items I've owned. I've always had a metal drainer and tray that I could use, but they are messy and cumbersome and I didn't ever want to leave it out on the cupboard, it was unsightly. So I'm giving this pretty drainer 5 stars and I'm very glad that I purchased it. Thank you Nineware!
