I don't have young children by I do take care of my elderly mother who has a habit of going into the kitchen at all hours of the night, multiple times a night and often does not close the refridgerator door completely. I'm reminded of this each time as my Alexa wakes me to tell me an appliance has been "left on" due to the perpetual beeping that signals this alarm.
