Put your trash bag in the opening that's held in with magnets on all 4 sides. Then you can put your trash in the opening until its full. I would recommend this to everyone who drives a vehicle. Putting the side braces in is difficult but patient is all it needs. The whole inside is waterproof.

Finally! An onboard trash receptacle for your car that will take on messy or wet throw-aways with ease. If you drive alone, secure to front side of headrest on the passenger side for easy access by driver. Have a companion? Just twist to the back side of the passenger seat and it's still fairly easy to get to. When we travel with our pets, we often provide them with those tubes of kitty or doggy snacks that are like baby food. This makes the pets happier about the long car rides (7 hours plus) that they often endure throughout the year, and eliminates some of the disposal issues that we once had. Now, we just feed, toss in the plastic bag-lined receptacle, and dispose of at our ultimate destination or the next gas station stop. Same goes for used tissues, wipes, empty beverage containers, etc. Receptacle easily holds a lot of trash, yet no muss, no fuss!
