LEGO Icons Pickup Truck 10290 Building Set for Adults, Vintage 1950s Model with Seasonal Display Accessories, Creative Activity, Collector's Gift Idea

Although being a collector of Lego for some years now I also collect scale die cast models of vehicles from the 1950's so it was a no brainer that I was going to want to add this truck to my collection. Firstly, I cannot see why anyone would want to give this a 1 star review. 1 star reviews mean that the product is bad in every way, which this was not. Firstly, there was no colour variation in the set I purchased (from a retailer, but not Lego on this occasion) but I think that would only have given it more character. A faded old truck that has spent it's life in the sun. I had no problem with the build. Everything went together as it should and pieces did not fall off when attaching other pieces. The truck is of a very sturdy build and was an excellent price for such a large set. I cannot understand the comment that it was thrown in a garbage bag...why? If I paid for the set and there was a problem that would not be a solution that would even come to mind, I would be looking for a solution, but I've found in the 40+ sets that I have built there has only been one that tested my patience but it all worked out in the end. I would like to see more sets based around this era as with the Diner set a few years ago, maybe an architecture set of some of the old buildings from the 50's America. The new sets never cease to amaze me considering the Lego sets when I was a child. Mainly boxy buildings, mostly houses, that I had no interest in. Keep up the good work Lego.
