Such a fun toy for my entire family from my toddler , 10 yr old, my 21 yr old and myself as a mom of 39 years old. Battery holds up well. The controller takes 3 AA ( not included) batteries but the car itself comes with a rechargeable battery which is great. The lights on the car are fun and luminous. It's a very tough and durable toy. Works ok on short grass but best inside on hard floors / carpet. The only thing I would like to be different on this toy is that when playing with the car, it's hard to tell which end is front / back which makes knowing which directional button to hit tricky. All in all it's a fun toy!
