I love these baby locks they are easy for me to open but he can not get to them, at 1 years old he has figured out 2 other styles of baby locks and ether opend them or man handled then pulling them apart. These he can not reach the magnet key and he can not get to the pieces to pop them off its awesome

Not JUST child-proof, but ADULTS w/ dementia too!

The locks are packed neatly in a small box and the instruction sheet is TINY! Included picture to show how ridiculously small the font and images are! Thankfully I was able to find a video online, not of the same product but similar and it helped a LOT when it came to putting these locks up. Yes it's made of plastic and uses 3M adhesive. With proper preparation these locks should work quite well! I started by cleaning the surfaces with rubbing alcohol and letting it thoroughly dry. There is a installation cradle that will let you put both the latch and lock pieces together because you will remove the backing from the adhesive so when you close the door/drawer it will be properly aligned with each other. I recommend "disabling" the lock so it can be opened and closed without using the key for at LEAST 24 hours to let the adhesive properly adhere. There is a little switch - shown in the pictures on the left side of the locking part. Included are 3 "keys" which are magnets. If you happen to lose all 3, any STRONG magnet will work! At first I thought we had to slide the magnet away from the latch to unlock it - you don't! Now I just tap it and hear for the 'click' and know it's unlocked before I open the door/drawer. We did use the included stickers to indicate where the locks are to make it easy to tap the right spot to unlock. I purchased these to keep an adult with dementia out of the cabinets. There is one cabinet they are particularly insistent in opening and they think the cabinet door is just stuck so they yank it really hard and it WILL remove the latch/adhesive. I am considering a stronger adhesive for this ONE. The other ones seem to be enough of a deterrent as is. Since I am familiar with this set and am comfortable with the installation, I purchased another set. I do recommend these with proper preparation these work quite well!
